Album Release Spotlight – Wyatt Ellis

I challenge you to step back (think back a few or many years ago) and think about what you were doing as a thirteen-year-old kid.  Were you going to school, playing sports, making your parents pull their hair out, and/or hanging out with friends?  Well Wyatt Ellis has been doing that and so much more.  In 2022 when Wyatt was only 13 yrs. old, he won a scholarship to work with Bobby Osborne from the Kentucky School of Bluegrass and had his dream come true when he played on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry with Dailey and Vincent.  From having his dream come true by playing with Dailey and Vincent at the Grand Ole Opry, Wyatt’s dream was made even sweeter by making his Grand Ole Opry debut on 11/10/23.

A month ago, Wyatt released his debut album titled “Happy Valley”. The “Happy Valley” album is packed with well-known artists that range from Hall of Fame members to multi-award-winning artists which Wyatt considers heroes, mentors and friends.  The mix between the newly known mandolin prodigy and powerhouse artists truly shows the amazing artistry throughout the album.  “Happy Valley” is a twelve-song album that showcases an awesome mix of instrumentals that features a wide range of instruments and styles.  You will hear tempos that are slow and fast along with smooth/seamless transitions in all of the songs.  As I have listened to the album multiple times, I continue to find myself enjoying and hearing something new every time.
