“My Farm, My Bluegrass” is the title of the new album that has been released by Marty Falle. This album includes 11 songs (six songs and five instrumentals). As always, I will give you a little bit of my thoughts/feelings that I got from listening to the new album “My Farm, My Bluegrass”. I would love for you to listen and see what type of thoughts that come to you.
The album was produced by Jonathan Yudkin. Jonathan also contributed some fiddle and mandolin sounds throughout the album. Marty Slayton, Kim Parent, and Marcia Ramirez gave great back-up vocals. Marty brought in Dale Ann Bradley to share the lead on “Ode to Ale 8”, “Chimney Letters” and “Praise the Lord and Pass the Gravy”. The amazing sounds you hear were created by Carl Miner (guitar), Michael Bub (acoustic bass), Rob Ickes (dobro), Josh Matheny (dobro, lap steel. Mandolin), Matt Menefee (banjo) and Tim Carter (banjo).
Ode to Ale 8 – fun upbeat song that shares that high you get from finishing your chores while drinking your favorite Eastern Kentucky drink, Ale 8 (ginger & citrus). This song is one that has you joining in quickly.
Big Barn Breakdown (Instrumental) – great instrumental that is full of great sounding guitar and intertwined with some fun fiddle runs.
Kentucky Proud – this song right here could be the anthem for all the hard-working men/women but highlights those from the great state of Kentucky.
Kentucky Unbridled Breakdown (Instrumental) – After hearing the melody of Kentucky Proud, you will be able to keep it playing in your mind with this similar and very catchy instrumental.
Chimney Letters – a beautiful song written about the unfortunate children that wrote letters to Santa when they had the bare minimum and at times where the only thing left from homes were the tall red brick chimneys.
Kentucky Sons of Ireland – When someone asks for an Irish song, Marty Falle makes it happen.
Appalachia Irish Dance (Instrumental) – Once you get the Irish bug, you must continue the mood with this great energetic and fun instrumental song. The added penny whistle brings you that true feeling of Irish dancing alive.
Praise the Lord & Pass the Gray – Marty and Dale Ann Bradley share the devotion of a farmer to his Lord through this amazing song. You have to listen to it as if you were sitting on your porch looking out over all your fields.
The Calling – If you are driving and feel the desire to worship our Lord in a beautiful musical way, this is the song! Marty gives a seven-minute prayer set to music quoting the powerful scripture Philippians 3:14. Marty mentioned that this “is the core of my spiritual beliefs and what I am trying to achieve”.
Marty Falle created a great new album – make sure to listen to it wherever you stream. Don’t forget to download it for repeating.
